Skyfuel

Skyfuel Australia Pty Limited is a family owned and operated business that provides aircraft fuel and lubricants to the aviation industry. They sell products online and via their shop premises in Bankstown, and they approached us to revamp their website.


We created Skyfuel’s initial website many years ago, but it was in need of a full overhaul. The design and content management system were both out of date, and they also needed a product purchasing and shopping cart system developed in order to allow customers to buy their products online.


The client mapped out their requirements and told us what they needed on the home page, and then they handed the job over to us. Because they’re quite busy attending to their own clients, we took over from there and created a website to suit their specifications.

Skyfuel encourages their customers to submit photos and they select one each month to be displayed on the homepage, and the site also boasts a number of photo galleries. Therefore, we knew that imagery was important, so we created a design framework that supported plenty of images.

The product system and shopping cart was custom-designed to allow Skyfuel customers to add items to the cart and pay using credit card. We incorporated technology called eWay to create an internal, integrated payment system, which means the user never has to leave the Skyfuel website throughout the purchasing and payment process.

We also tailor made a freight-cost estimator for the shopping cart, as the cost of shipping changes depending on the postcode of the purchaser.


The end result is a modern, clean website that incorporates relevant imagery and an easy navigation system. Skyfuel were thrilled with the finished product.
