Noni B is a national publicly-listed company on the ASX and one of Australia's leading women's fashion retailers, operating over 200 stores across Australia. Noni B decided that it was time to extend their retail business success by enhancing their online presence to match their quality brand and in store identity. Noni B needed to work with a company they could trust to manage and implement this initiative, and for this reason they appointed Solutions Outsourced to deliver the right solution.A highly motivated client who knew what they were after, this site had a particularly tight time frame within which it had to be completed. This was a very satisfying process for Solutions Outsourced, as the client was also driven to get their content up and running while we finished the shell of the website.
Noni B's previous website design had become dated, lacking the appeal, excitement and personality of the company's progressive image. The site no longer stood the test of time, and did not have the flexibility and required functionality to best showcase their products. See samples of the old website below. The new website not only had to highlight the Noni B brand and range, but also provide an avenue for promotion of sub-brands including Liz Jordan. A core objective of the new website was to help customers locate their 200+ retail stores, provide important information to share holders, and provide a base for online marketing campaigns including an e-mail newsletter to loyalty members.
The design had to be versatile, image focused, and able to keep up with changing fashions and design trends. It also needed to be easily updated and managed by Noni B staff, including the ability to add/adjust the pages in the catalogue, add new model images to the Catwalk, and update the "Keylooks" section of the site. We chose to use Siteflex to run the website and make all this functionality possible, due to its versatility and the ability it gives clients to update content anywhere and anytime.
To best showcase both Noni B and sub brand Liz Jordan, the design style was kept quite clean. A classic yet attractive base, using mainly black and white was our design solution. Simple enough to emphasise the ever changing photography and fashion, yet bold and stylish.
An Interactive Catwalk and Flash catalogue are points of interest. Adobe Flash was used to create the virtual catalogue, in which users can "turn" the pages, very much like a traditional paper based catalogue. A virtual catwalk was created to provide a unique user experience when browsing through their range. Galleries and Product lists "Keylooks" were utilised to make the most of the high standard images, and allow the client to easily update fashion from season to season. Price lists and a Store Finder Map were also used.
Mailflex, our e-mail marketing solution, was a core component of our solution for Noni B. Noni B has a loyal customer base and much of the success of their new website can be attributed to their ability to communicate with their customers on a new level, with a professional e-mail newsletter that helps ensure Noni B loyalty members are regularly interacting with their website.
An elegant, functional website that is easily updated and maintained by the client. The clean design structure allows the changing fashion seasons to shine through, making the website versatile and long lasting. See below for some examples of the new page structures, including the Home Page, Gallery, Catwalk, and Catalogue. Visit the website to try out the exceptional functionality.
Often the hardest part about designing a website is the lack of images, but this certainly wasn't the case with the new Noni B website. Noni B were able to provide us with a lot of professional high quality images which were utilised throughout the website to create the required focus on their clothing range.
The Solutions Outsourced team worked closely with both the board, the executive tacticians and an international brand guru from the UK to bring the project to fruition. The project was completed ahead of schedule in a tight 6-week time frame.
