  • Noah Fenech Foundation, Raising Hopes and Funds!

    25 February, 2011

Diane Haines the owner of Keen to Kleen, a valued client of ours is the founder and sponsor for the Noah Fenech Foundation.

The Noah Fenech Foundation was established in honour of Diane's dear nephew Noah Fenech recently diagnosed with Classic Autistic Disorder and significant development delays.

The diagnosis came as a shock to Noah's parents Simon & Alma and 9 month old sister Abigail whom now find themselves trying to cope with a 30-40 hour timetable of continuinual Applied Behavioural Analysis therapy including speech, and Occupational Therapy every week recommended to them by an organisation called C.A.R.D.(Caring for Autistic and Related Disorders) with a cost of over $1000.00 per week. This huge amount has become a struggle for the Fenech family to afford now that government financial support is drying up.

Solutions Outsourced will be supporting The Noah Foundation by attending a Movie Night at United Cinemas at Narellan Town Centre mid March. Ticket sales have since closed but keep your eyes and ears open for any upcoming fundraising events.

    Ways you can help Noah:

    • Cash Donations - will go directly from Noah's foundation account to his therapy lessons, knowing that
every cent is benefiting the family directly with no hidden costs of administration fees etc.
    • Gift Donations - will be raffled off at fundraising events held for Noah throughout the year.
    • The Ultimate Donation - a small amount donated weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Something little that may not make such an impact on your lives together will make a big impact on this family.

    All donations are tax deductable.

A person is remembered not for what they have but for what they give.

For some more information about The Noah Foundation have a read of this article written by Mark O'Brien from the Camden Advertiser.

For details on how to donate or if you have any questions regarding donations or upcoming fundraising events please phone

  • Facebook unveils new methods for business social interaction

    11 February, 2011

Today we are pretty excited to hear about Facebook's latest update, enhancing how businesses are able to interact and engage with their social community on Facebook.

    Represent your business

The update's main feature of note is the ability to Use Facebook as Page. This feature allows individuals to more seamlessly represent their business within the Facebook social community.

This latest update cements Facebook as a legitimate communication and community interaction tool for businesses.

Being able to use Facebook as a Page also grants you the ability to keep an eye on that Page's individual News Feed. For Solutions Outsourced, this is a great way of keeping our finger on the pulse of our immediate business interests, namely our valued clients!

Social Media (requires your business to be sociable)

One of the most common complaints about Facebook Pages from both businesses and community users is that sometimes businesses are slow to respond (if they do even respond at all), somewhat defeating the point of the entire social media exercise. To address this complaint, an updated Notifications system allows you to receive email alerts from incoming interactions on your Facebook Pages, rather than the quasi-paranoid refresh method of old.

    Are we there yet?

Of course, there is still a ways to go. For one, having multiple representations of your business (one for Facebook Places, Facebook Pages, one for employees, etc) is still a pain to consolodate into a single, relevant Facebook Page for your business.

Check out the newly released Facebook page features on your own Facebook Page by hitting up Facebook's Page Upgrade Status...page.

  • Red Cross Flood Appeal

    21 January, 2011

Aus Red CrossWe are a long time supporter of the Australian Red Cross at Solutions Outsourced with work place giving in place. During the Queensland floods we have been greatly impressed with their fast response during this sudden natural disaster. A lot goes into offering relief of such a large scale, and the Red Cross have been doing an amazing job managing the Evacuation Centres - one of the many aspects we all take for granted - accommodating those in need of shelter.

One of our business partners Spectrum have also done their bit, hosting the flood aid website: http://floodaid.com.au The site offers a discussion area for those in need and those with capability to connect to help rebuild the pieces.

Brisbane Floods RockleaFor those who haven't been overloaded by the media take on this, take a look at this interesting before and after of Brisbane Floods as depicted by the ABC News. See an example on the left of the before and after.
