Always ready for a reason to get out of the office for a bit - (once deadlines are seen to first of course), the Solutions team ventured out for the big race, to Barenz in Camden where we enjoyed the new outer bar area. Enjoying a varied menu, and some Peroni's and Pimms or two, we were delighted to have Victoria Hansen join us after her presentation on the importance of content on your website.

Keep an eye on our News section as there is more on this to come! Victoria is most likely our greatest user of our CMS Siteflex, keeping her three websites, plus client sites up to date with Podcasts, Videos, News and blog items and more with over 3000 pages that she takes care of with regular updates. She is definitely the maestro on keeping a website fresh and bringing viewers back for more, and inspirational to even us here at Solutions who could learn from her example.

Nonetheless we found time to relax, the race coming and going. With such a fast turnaround, it wasn't until after the race that some of us realised who had actually won!! Winnings in our team sweep remained confined to the design room, with Zoe's horse Americain coming first in the sweep, Peter's second, and Emily's third. Just to stir the programming department and other participants in our sweep, even Olivia from the design room broke even, taking the dummy prize with her horse Zavite coming last.

The 2010 Solutions Outsourced 'Fresh Cut' Conference at Jamberoo Valley came to a close on Sunday morning after what was a wonderfully rewarding and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Following a warm welcome on Friday morning from the local peacock community we soon settled ourselves in and began proceedings.

We experienced a diverse range of hearty discussions and motivational/team-building activities. We even got to break out the paint brushes and unleash our creative forces upon a blank canvas that didn't reside within the confines of Photoshop. Needless to say, the results were outstanding. Brendan from support impressed us all when he demonstrated an aptitude for mixed media artwork, cleverly crafting paper stars to feature upon the wonderful spacescape scene painted by his art team.

In good cheer we saw out the remainder of the weekend enjoying good company and a few quiet beverages, seeing the final night off with a toast to Mark, sincerely delivered by Dominic on behalf of the team for all Mark's efforts in providing for our enjoyment at the conference and for distinction as a motivating force for us all.
