It was such a wonderful day for a BBQ yesterday and with such a great cause to raise money for - it was a winning combination!

We have been supporters of the African AIDS Foundation for quite a few years now and so when we heard about their new fundraising initiative we were keen to jump on board.

Throughout the months of August and September, supporters are encouraged to host an African BBQ to raise funds for the foundation. A host pack with information about AAF, ideas for your event as well as a donation box and an AAF DVD are supplied and make hosting easy!

After delegating jobs to everyone, the feast came together well...we had Brett on a delicious roast vegetable salad, Olivia provided a yummy sweet potato side dish, Zoe made her famous cous cous salad and Emily whipped up some authentic African yellow rice.

The meat wouldn't have turned out as well if it hadn't been for the help of Amy and 'tongmaster' (Michael) made an impression with his barbequeing skills!

But aside from the delicious food, the day wouldn't have been what it was without the guests. The donations are easily the most important part of the event. Without these vital funds, the African AIDS Foundation wouldn't be able to continue making such a difference in Sub Saharan Africa.

We managed to raise a total of $350.45 on the day!
