At KYCK 12, their task is to help 6,000 or more teenagers over 3 weekends tell the difference. Let them know where and when to say ‘HERE I STAND!’ and to know when to let things slide. They wanted this redesign to capture the essence of their print design campaign and to echo the energy of the conference. The site needed a landing page that displayed their KYCK 2012 video along with a sectioned homepage displaying a countdown, news feed the video and intro text.
Inspiration for the design was taken primarily from the KYCK print and Video material. All elements required on the homepage were assigned a box and the background was designed to accommodate for these sections. The primary image used in the print material was also modified to fit the background and suit the tones used throughout the website.
In addition to a site that fulfilled all aspects of the brief to a high standard, the design and implementation of the KYCK website was swift and efficient, allowing for a quick, successful launch.
