Capital Steel Buildings operate within a niche market in the housing and construction industry, supplying cold rolled steel buildings to consumers and commercial clients throughout Australia.

The company was founded in the United Kingdom, so until recently, they operated a UK parent website that catered to a worldwide audience.
The company’s identity and branding in Australia was different to their identity and branding in the UK, so they decided they needed a local site to reflect their local presence.

When designing this site, the team at Solutions Outsourced analysed Capital Steel Buildings’ core operations, and noticed that it fell into three distinct categories: domestic sheds and garages, rural and industrial buildings, and distributor opportunities.
“We decided to take the approach with the design, to filter people straight into the area they wanted to be in, ”says Phil Peet, Lead Web Designer at Solutions Outsourced..
“The client was happy with this approach, and we used the same strategy when we went on to do their print media campaign.”
The website included several specific, custom-designed features, such as a contact form that was embedded on the right hand side of most pages on the site. Having the same form on several – but not all – website pages was a new style for the Siteflex system, but one of our developers devised a solution within one week.

Overall, the site took around three months to create and launch, and the client was very impressed with the results – reflected by the fact that they came back to do more work, such as brochures and magazine advertisements.
