Solutions Moustached Progress (Week 4)

Can't believe the month is already over! 4 weeks of gruelling itch (for some) and painful embarrasment (for others) finally come to a climactic end with a brilliant rainbow of facial hair! Our efforts (and yours!) over the past 4 weeks have also meant that a few of us were kindly graced with free tickets to the Movember Gala Parte in Luna Park, Sydney. Sure enough, Solutions Moustached had to send three representatives to tear it up, mingle with the locals, and bring back the secrets of the mo' sages, gurus and other such wise men for our efforts next year.

Speaking of next year, as it stands our amount to beat next year is $1,307 - that's if you guys don't donate! Give us a challenge! Keeping Things Simple

A lot of times here at Solutions we get asked questions about creating complex and elaborately structured features, which we love to hear since we are always inspired by a challenge. But sometimes, it's a simple solution that proves the most effective in the long run.
An example? - On a trip to the city today, John and I were presented with a morally challenging situation for our neighbours car in the car park. A picture tells a thousand words, so here it is (a word of warning to the squeamish: scroll past quickly):
We immediately began hatching an elaborately complicated plan involving taking a photo on our phones, finding an automatic photo printing service, producing a print of the offending spider, and then leaving this, with a word of warning on the back, for the hapless owner of the vehicle.
It was at this point that the concept of simplicity struck, and John removed the spider with a piece of bark. Problem solved. Good deed done.
The lesson we learned? Technology can provide us with a myriad of ways to solve a complex problem, but sometimes, the best solution is the simplest. We aim to remind ourselves of this every day.
*No spiders were harmed in the making of this blog.
Solutions Moustached Progress (Week 3)

I write this blog with mixed emotions. Week 3 of movember is a milestone for any Mo Bro in the world, bringing with it a great sense of achievement for getting this far, and an even greater sense of encouragement for enduring the week ahead - I'd like to commend you all, worldwide, for your efforts.
But sadly, Week 3 also brings us closer to the grim end to the joys of Movember. The world will lose its monthly charm, chivalry and all round manliness for another year. My band of mo-brothers and i will be torn at the upper lip. Worldwide shaving cream and razor production increases will have a negative impact on our carbon footprint. And my mo-growth is pretty pathetic.

On a brighter note though, today we broke our goal! Thanks to some very kind donations, Solutions Moustached now stands at $1,163! But that doesn't mean we're stopping!! Keep donating, we wanna set a new benchmark to beat next year!
