Google Analytics & a brief lesson in not rushing in
10 August, 2010
At Solutions we're big fans of Google, and when we hear about new Google products or updates we're one of the first in line to check it out.
However it pays to be cautious.
Late last year Google released a Beta-release update to how Google Analytics works; using some clever techniques to ensure page impressions are recorded more often (even when a page is not fully loaded), and without stopping other scripts from loading.

Unfortunately there were some small, but not insignificant, issues with the code at first. For several months, and a few revisions later, things came good - and the team at Siteflex unveiled the new Google Analytics code once satsified the new code was a overall improvement across the board.
The lesson? Even the big guys don't always get things completely right. Be careful but moreso, be informed.
